Titan Partnership Awards ￡2,500 in Funding to Birmingham Schools to Support Young People

Titan Partnership, a small education charity and member network in Birmingham, has announced the first round of funding recipients for its Titan Fund initiative. Five local schools have been awarded ￡500 each to support projects that will directly benefit their students and improve their educational experiences.

The schools selected for this round of funding are:

• Anglesey Primary School
• CORE Education Trust City Academy
• HOLYHEAD SCHOOL
• Ladypool Primary School
• Manor Park Primary Academy

The funds will be used to support a variety of initiatives, including the creation of a wellbeing hub, providing essential clothing such as coats and shoes for disadvantaged pupils, updating and diversifying library resources, organising aspirational enrichment trips, and launching a year-long computer club featuring new coding kits.

We work hard at Titan to fundraise, but we are also deeply grateful to the business community for joining us in supporting young people in Birmingham. This continued collaboration will ensure that this is just the first of many funding rounds to come.”

Razwana Saghir , Headteacher at Ladypool Primary said, “We’re thrilled to receive funding from Titan to relaunch our school library. This will allow us to purchase diverse, engaging books that make the library a place students want to be. Reading sparks curiosity, creativity, and empathy, while strengthening vocabulary and academic success. We’re grateful to Titan for helping our students become lifelong readers.”

The Titan Fund was launched earlier this academic year to raise funds for schools in some of Birmingham’s most underserved areas. In collaboration with local and national businesses, Titan seeks to provide ongoing support for these schools. The initial round of funding was raised through Titan’s own fundraising efforts, while future rounds will be supported by the generosity of business members, including Birmingham Education Advisory Service, The National Energy Hub , Rewired PR , Starting Point Recruitment Limited , Croft , Bootcamp Media? , Code Institute , and Step Into Teaching .

Sean Bates , Head of Marketing at Titan Partnership, who completed two fundraising challenges this year to support the fund, shared: “Having visited these schools and seen firsthand the incredible work being done, it’s clear that this funding will have a profound impact. Many young people in Birmingham face significant challenges due to poverty, and I’m proud that the money I raised will help make a difference. It has inspired me to take on even more fundraising challenges for our schools in 2025.”
