‘‘Tis The Season For Taking Stock

It is very important to take stock every now and then of our blessings. As Humans it is easy to get lost in man's minutia and experience farsightedness in our perspective of where God exists in our daily lives. 

Taking stock helps me personally to see that He is right here...where He has always been. It amazes me how time can deceive me into wondering if I have done something to justify the distance I feel at times, sometimes for years, between myself and God, only to discover that the Promise He made and I accepted many years ago is alive and eternally close. 

We all have had experiences we have grown through over the many years that exemplify this. I am thankful for the magic God shares with us in his daily reminders that exist all around us. 

To be able to witness the beauty in someone else's gifts is one of those reminders. It is one of the reasons we watch inspiring shows like America's Got Talent, American Idle, etc. 

It is what touches our spirits when we see an act of human kindness, hear the words "I appreciate you", and see someone overcome a significant challenge.
