'Tis the Season!

I listened to Christmas music for the first time this season on October 10th. Now, I know that might sound a little early, but every year, the first chilly day in October puts me into the holiday spirit.
Fast forward to November 1st, and my seven roommates and I were ready to deck the halls in full. We were beyond excited when one of my roommate’s moms arrived with boxes full of decorations to ensure we felt the holiday spirit on Henderson Street.?
We didn’t just stop with decorations, though. Christmas music echoed through the house, and we lit festive candles to complete the mood. Unfortunately, I wasn’t all that much help still being on crutches, but I took it all in as everyone put up the Christmas tree, stockings, and twinkling lights.?
Some say decorating early skips over Thanksgiving, but I couldn’t disagree more. Thanksgiving and Christmas go hand in hand in celebrating gratitude, joy, and togetherness. Living in a house decked out in Christmas spirit just boosts my mood and appreciation for the entire holiday season.?
There’s something truly comforting about coming home to a house filled with holiday cheer, especially during such a busy time in the semester. I hope everyone gets to enjoy that little bit of extra warmth this season, whether it’s through decorations, holiday music, or quality time with friends and family.?
