Tired Dragon Sings of Phoenix's Flight

I kept counsel as I kept quiet
My words always remained with in the valley
As others spoke I respected your choices
Neither praising the weather or complaining of it
You had chosen to fly in the sky regardless
While I had long ago voiced my fears of your flight
For even the most timid of birds with the least feathers
Will attempt to fly in the worst of storms
Than to lose the freedom of choice on when to take flight
Still what I don't understand,
Despite the eternity of my years,
Is why you ignore my friendship?
For on my part, I have betrayed nothing
Unless friendship is only stating you will never burn
Even though it is an inevitable occurrence
If you are to rise up from the ashes

4 年...it's true - you will never burn....but you must go through burning...and the flight is less a height than a clearing away of debris, so that the light you always are takes precedence. You want to see a Phoenix - read "Grace and Grit"...you'll have less to be pissed off about... :-)
