A tired and boring article

Everybody is tired. I am tired. You are tired. Your neighbor is tired, and your boss is tired, even teenagers are tired even though they sleep more than a pregnant raccoon in winter.?
What you are not though, is special, just because you are tired. You are always special - but not because you are TIRED. The shouty capitals are not necessary, but I am just making sure you are still awake.?
We are all working stupid hours with too much on our plate, booking spinning classes we know we will not attend, organizing geyser repairs, pre-cooking healthy meals for the freezer to prep for the week that we do not actually want to eat so they stay frozen in time next to the peas. Why do we do these ridiculous things? Because we are all humans, humans are fraught with imperfections and we could all poke holes at each other for days about how we try, how we do not try, how we wish we tried harder and how we try to try less.
Sometimes we get it perfectly right and our kids go to school clean, your partner has a packed lunch that includes flax seeds or almonds and your skin is glowy, and on other days we do not wear matching underwear or buy milk. I have personally dried myself with a sock at the gym because I forgot my towel; if you all remember that woeful story from a previous article. I am however here to tell you something that you do already know and do not need me the philosopher to tell you - it is OK! Wake up tomorrow and try again, and again and again. You are perfect and special being imperfect and tired.

But please, and I mean this with all manner of kindness and empathy, please stop telling everyone you are tired at work - it is ok to tell us that you are tired today but then tell us tomorrow it will be better, or better yet suggest we have a Teams nap together. This is where you book a call together as napping co-conspirators so the time is booked out in our diary, however, we are both indeed, napping (not together psychically I might add - it is just a virtual convenience in the calendar) - I would also like to categorically deny that I have ever done this, never ever.
My point is (sometimes my articles do have a point to them - but don't get used to it) let us find ways to energize, inspire and make each other a little bit less tired at work and not spread this endemic that makes nobody special these days, which is being tired.
If anybody would like to reach out to me for a virtual nap, you can DM me. I am always available, except when I am booked to have a day nap. Subject line: Strat Session Melissa and (Insert name here)
