Tire & Support Roller Lubrication

Proper lubrication is key to an efficiently running kiln. Here are some tips and tricks to ensure proper lubrication.

Check points:

• Are graphite blocks free in their holders?
• Is the contact surface dirty or greasy?
• Is oil carrying over to the riding surface from a leaking shaft seal?

Tips:

• Pull graphite blocks from holders and clean with a wire brush routinely.
• Lubricate between the filler bars and the ID of the tire weekly.
• Fix leaking shaft seals at next available kiln outage.
