Tips for your LinkedIn profile...
Based on helping to compile a few thousand profiles successfully I would love to share some concrete tips to assist those who are insistent on doing this yourselves. If this is not your area of expertise, either do some in depth research or get in touch with someone who CAN. Always include a picture of yourself, smile naturally, you are not competing with anyone, just presenting yourself. Slogans or taglines help people to distinguish from others in the same field as you. Create your unique niche of who you are and what you do in that order in to be recognized and get seen. It is like a mini elevator pitch. In your work experience try not to focus on the duties performed, but rather the successes you attained there. The website of companies amply describes what they do. Your skillsets should be attesting to to what you do currently, for example, if you have customers, have customer skillsets listed. Customer service, customer retention etc. Get people to write recommendations to attest to the fine person and character you have. You can only sing your own praises to an extent. My favorite peeve is NOT to use adjectives to describe yourself, state facts matter of a factly.
