Tips To Stay Young And Fight Off Father Time

Tips To Stay Young And Fight Off Father Time

Watching the Mike Tyson fight last night I was reminded that you can’t defeat Father Time. Father Time is undefeated. Mike is 58 years old and he looked his age fighting against and losing to a much younger Jake Paul who is 27.

At 53 I thought about my own athletic pursuits as someone who competes against twenty, thirty and forty year-olds in pickleball.

Yes, we will all get older but I’ve decided that even though I can’t defeat Father Time I’m going to fight him off as long as I can by staying young as long as possible. Here are some tips on what I do to stay young. I hope you join me and do some of them.

1. Walk at least 4 miles every day.

2. Lift weights 3x a week.

3. Eat a lot of wild seafood and grass fed steak.

4. Rarely drink alcohol.

5. Don’t smoke

6. Rarely eat sugar. Too much causes inflammation.

7. Play pickleball a lot.

8. Spend at least an hour a day in the sun, either walking or playing pickleball.

9. Make sleep a priority.

10. Eat a tbs of Manuka honey each day.

11. Eat organic blueberries. (Anti inflammatory)

12. Think positive and often say “I refuse to age.” In my mind I’m 35 :)

13. Take 3 tbs of Ion from Intelligence of Nature. (Helps heal your gut).

14. Hang out with younger people.

15. Pray often instead of feeling stressed.

16. Live with a mission and purpose to make a difference.

17. Enjoy organic dark chocolate occasionally.

18. Eat fermented vegetables.

Love the List Jon. I have replaced Pickleball with tennis. Still holding my own at 65. Keep up your wonderful work!
