Tips For Painting A Room
Here are some tips that will make your work easier when you want to paint a room and they will help you get the same result like a Pro:
-??????? After you’ve soaked the roller in paint, roll the excess on a plastic grill to avoid applying a thicker layer that will look just patchy;
-??????? Work on portions (it is wise to work on a reasonable-sized area, you can easily finish it) and plan your work interruption in the perfect area (for example, at the corners);
-??????? Spread the paint until the roller is perfect (this happens when you see that the threads have returned to their form and they are no longer sticking together); this technique assures uniform paint all over your wall;
-??????? Start with the corners and wall-ceiling joints with a brush or with the corner roller;
-??????? Always spread paint from wet to dry (you have to paint in zig-zag, starting with a movement oriented upwards to reduce splattering, then you go back and fill in the zig-zag);
-??????? Get as close as you can to the corners and joints painted before, so you can avoid the frame effect and make sure that the whole surface is even; in this case you can use a special roll for corners;
-??????? At the ceiling, the last part painted has to be in the light direction (window);
-??????? For high rooms, to avoid streaks, you can:
o?? Paint in a team of two people – one person paints the upper part of the wall, from a double ladder, and the other paints on the underside of the floor.
Alone, with the help of a telescopic handle mounted at the paint roller.
