Organisational skills can come naturally to some and can be very difficult for others. For those who may not be gifted with the skills of an orderly human being, this article may be of interest to you!

?You can lose a great deal of time from disorganisation - A minute here to find your pen, another there to track down an email. Keeping life organised often feels like a juggling act, as swiftly as you move to catch one ball, the next one is hurtling you.

?Becoming an organised hero doesn’t happen in one day, it takes a lot of working on building good habits. These habits will then help direct you to an “organised life”. So, we have compiled 10 habits and tips to build on to become more organised!

?There are plenty of habits that can lead to an organised life, rather than following a step by step. Instead practising habits and setting clear intentions will really help you become an organised person.

Here are some of our top tips that will help you become more organised over time.

1.????Write things down – Whether that be with pen and paper or simply on your notes on your phone.

2.????Make schedules and deadlines – There are plenty of free amazing Time management apps that help with maintaining schedules and ensuring that you meet deadlines, some including Clickup, Todoist, Toggl Plan.

3.????Avoid Procrastination – As above give yourself a deadline to get something done or follow the 2-minute rule – “If it takes less than 2 minutes, then do it now!”

4.????Give everything a home - When something has a home you’re less likely to leave it out and clutter your space. So go treat yourself and buy that cute penholder you’ve been putting off for over a year J.

5.????Declutter regularly – In a work environment, this refers to your desk as well as your Email mailbox.

6.????Keep only what you need – there are tips for the wardrobe such as once a year putting all your coat hangers in a reverse direction and when you wear something you flip it around. At the end of the year whatever you haven’t flipped you donate or sell. This can also be applied in the workplace office.

7.????Know where to discard items – Whether that be discard items from your mailbox or discard items from your work desk, knowing where to discard your items will help create an organised workplace environment thus an organised mindset.

8.????Stay away from bargains – Ask yourself; Do you actually need it, or do you just want it?
