When done right LinkedIn prospecting can be very fruitful ??

I have mentioned before LinkedIn’s organic reach is the highest of all social platforms.

You can accomplish a lot with no investment, other than time and effort.

Here are some things that have worked well for me on LinkedIn ??

Optimize Your Profile For Business Prospects 

Unless you're looking for a job don't treat your page like a resume. Think of it as a landing page for your business. Talk directly to people through your page, it's like subconsciously telling them that you understand their problems and you have the solution to their needs 

Be Genuine

The problem is most people still don't know what messages they should or shouldn't send on LinkedIn. Make sure any message you send to a connection is relevant to them. Take the time to read a connection's profile to learn about their interests and career. Send a "Relationship Building" message. The sole purpose of this message is to provide something of value to that person with no ulterior motive. Giving without the expectation of receiving is a critical part of building authentic relationships with people. 

Offline relationships 

This is the most critical step and where most people fall short. Without this final step, there's a whole lot of social without any selling. Once you've built enough rapport and established your credibility you have to make the transition to an offline conversation. Remember it is offline that you convert a prospect to a client. Don't try to sell or pitch anything without having a conversation and getting to know what the problems are your prospect is dealing with. Only then can you offer a solution.
