If you are embarking on a job search, consider the exciting prospects of joining a startup. The startup industry offers a unique opportunity to refine your skills and become a technology expert, as you witness the journey from conceptualization to product engineering. Working in a startup environment allows you to experience the full spectrum of the development process, fostering personal growth and enabling you to make a significant impact from the ground up.

Tips for New Job Seekers or Interns:

1. Your CV must be 1 or 2 full pages, and should not have blank blocks on either page.

2. Always remember, a CV should be job specific, Customize your resume for each job application to emphasize the most relevant skills and experiences.

3. Build a strong portfolio: Complete assigned tasks and showcase them in your portfolio, particularly if they are coding-related. Consider creating a GitHub repository to display your work, making it easier for recruiters to evaluate your abilities and prioritize you as a candidate.

4. Consider the hiring manager's perspective: Put yourself in the shoes of the hiring manager and think about how your CV and portfolio will make an impression. Highlight your most relevant skills and experiences to demonstrate your value and potential contribution to the company.

5. If you're applying for a startup org, understand the startup culture first. Startups thrive on individuals who possess the intuition and initiative to go beyond mere task completion, rather than relying on puppets who merely follow instructions.

6. Starups require people who can wear multiple hats, you can emphasize your willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

7. Don't solely rely on online job applications. Reach out to contacts in your network or build the network in the domain you want to pursue your career goals or attend industry events and startup meetups to expand your network. Building connections through such modes can help you stand out and increase your chances of getting noticed.

8. Startups seek individuals who embrace responsibility. In a startup environment, you will have the opportunity to take ownership and actively contribute as a valuable team member. (I'll tell you my related story someday).

9. Startup interview processes can be non-traditional and may include coding challenges, or may have questions related to the basics but logical questions.

10. After submitting your application or completing an interview, take a follow-up. When requesting a referral from someone, remember to proactively follow up with them. It's important to maintain communication and keep them informed that you're still interested.

Pro tip -: Show that you are good at communication, And even if don't have knowledge about a particular skill mentioned in the job description, You can say I can learn that particular skill in no time, show them your confidence and ability to learn quickly. Remember, even a hiring manager wants to help you, but you have to ask him.

As a new job seeker or intern in the startup field, it's important to present yourself effectively and stand out from other candidates. I'm not claiming that this will definitely be going to work in your case. But it'll definitely increase the chances of getting prioritized for the job role.
