Tips on Finding a Great Coach

People tell me how difficult it is to find a great coach. It doesn't have to be, if you know how to go about finding a coach that's right for you. Here are some tips that will help you on your journey.

Get real clear on what you are seeking to achieve. The more specific you can be, the more likely you'll be able to find the right coach for you.

Ask your friends and colleagues for recommendations. Then do your homework to ensure the coach they are recommending has expertise in the area(s) where you are seeking improvement.

Interview a few potential coaches. When it comes to coaching, finding the right fit is important.

Ask about availability. What's the point of finding a great coach if they don't have any availability? Be sure to ask the coach you are interviewing if they have the capacity to take on a new client. Do this early on in your conversation, so that you don't waste time speaking to someone who won't be able to help you out.

Great advise Roberta. It's important to ask yourself the tough questions first and then do some research.
