The fear of Public Speaking is real, and so is your power, composure, and self-confidence. It is okay be feel scared before speaking in front of an audience but you must learn you overcome that. You can learn and master how to address your nerves so that you can deliver your presentation from a place of power and confidence not from a place of fear. You have what it takes to deliver an incredible presentation. In this short article, I will share with you some of the key insights on how you can manage the fear of Public Speaking. With the right coaching, mentorship, and guidance, I believe that you can learn and master self-confidence.
It is all about your audience. You are there to create and add value to their lives. Make it about that. Look forward to sharing your expertise, touching a soul, liberating someone, and improving their lives. Look forward to being a light and a guardian angel with the knowledge you will share with them. When you make it about changing and impacting others, you forget about yourself and your personal fears and doubts.
It lightens your spirit and makes you shine in front of your audience. Focusing more on the value you bring to your audience eliminates the worries in your mind like: Am I good enough? Do I make sense? Do I look great? When you stop making the presentation about yourself and your insufficiencies, you are now liberated to empower and impact your audience. You start asking yourself the questions: How can I help them remember what I am going to talk about? How can I get my message across better? Instead of, How can I quickly run off the stage?
2. Know that your audience is rooting for you.
They want to see you win. They can't wait to hear from you. They wish you well. You are not facing an execution squad, you are standing in front of people who care about what you know.
Knowing this, you challenge yourself to meet them halfway. You pull up your socks and approach it from the people of grace and not fear. You know that they are looking forward to being inspired, empowered, and uplifted by you, this mindset shift builds confidence for you. Your audience is rooting for you. They made time to listen to you, you are important. Show up with a champion mentality because you are a champ in the eyes of your audience, an expert

3. You don't look as scared as you feel!
I trained more than 1000 individuals who have expressed how fearful they feel in front of an audience. They assume everyone can see the nerves they feel. When they look at the videos I shot of them, they can't see the fear in themselves and you should see the surprise in their eyes!
You don't look as scared as you feel. Practice, practice, practice! Your mind does know what's real and just a thought. Put yourself through the mental practice of speaking in front of a large audience. Record it and keep practicing. The more you do, the more comfortable you get. Build small confidence over time and sooner or later you will be killing presentations.
You will not automatically master what you don't practice. So get to the practice.
4. Find a Coach.
My speaking journey has massively improved when I submitted myself to a Coach to learn. There are techniques today I use to teach individuals and professionals to master public Speaking and tramp over their fears. As a Coach, I work with you step by step to guide you.
I have a LinkedIn Newsletter with 6000+ individuals that learn the basics of Public Speaking. I also run quarterly Public Speaking Masterclass to empower individuals and leaders in the area of Public Speaking.
