Tips to create your online courses

Recently I created my first online course.. Initially few hiccups, challenges but results are immensely satisfying..

Let me share my experience on creating my online course..

?? To begin shortlist your topic that you want the build your course on

?? Create a structural outline for the program. This step is very crucial, so make it step by step.. Begin with Session Topics or Headings which later has lectures or sub-topics

?? You can create a PPT to assist you with the flow of your course. Once the content and flow is ready you need to focus on recording

?? To begin with recording you need a plain background (preferred) or a minimalistic background, a light source which reflects light on your face, comfortable seating with a table where you can place your laptop or mobile, a mic or headphone for capturing your voice, a camera either a webcam or recorder or even your mobile camera is a great option.

?? Ideally a noise free environment or a closed room with no distractions is good for recording. During the process of recording turn off the fans, ac as then tend to create distractions during recording

?? I have done my recordings on Webcam and a regular Mobile camera with the help of my daughter and husband.

?? Look straight into the camera to build an eye contact with your audience

?? I used the OBS software to record my sessions which gave me a flexibility of recording my training delivery along with my PPT.

?? Editing was done with Video Editor feature in my laptop

Disclaimer: Despite of doing so many webinars and trainings this experience was different.. I was extremely nervous, fumbled, at times felt it's an herculean task..but each recording made me better and more confident as I was determined to make my course and that's something which kept me pushing ??
