Tips for buying art

1: Always Buy what you LOVE?

3: Look at your surroundings and interior style – although you want to complement it, this can also be achieved by going for a total contradiction in styles with your art.?

4: Speak to your gallery about the most interesting and perhaps more collectable artists?

5:? Don’t always play it safe – its so much fun to step outside your comfort zone with art from time to time.

6: Collect pieces from your travels as talking points and memory makers.?

7: Collect pieces around significant people and moments in your life to remember them by.

8: Try to know the artist’s back story or at least the reasoning behind the painting, especially if, for instance, you intend to pass it down in years to come.

9: Hang or place it wisely – this goes back to considering the space.

10: Create a Gallery Wall – for your original sketches, limited edition prints or etchings, or framed art posters – mix and match the frames in order to truly create that eclectic feel.?
