Tips for Building Your Business Network

Time to unpack a few stories here to give you some inspiration for your own business.?

I walked into an investor meet up last week and stopped at one of the first tables I saw. Introduced myself and immediately one of the women interrupted by saying “hey, I was just on your website today!” A woman in a group had mentioned she was struggling with too many things to do in her business and I recommended she talk to you!?

Win.

Full stop. This. Is the power of building your network. Next up, I went to introduce myself to a Real Estate agent I met online a few months back. Before I even had a chance to say Hello, he spoke up “Hi, Meghan!”

One of the questions I often get asked is “how did you meet person X in the first place?" My answer………is quite typically, online!?

Now trust me, I am not a high flying Instagram influencer or content creator. I am simply a business consultant trying to make your business easier, less overwhelming, and as a result of that, more profitable.?

Yesterday, a business partner of mine had commented on a podcast we listened to stating the interviewee had a lot of great information and she was interested in her product.?

My response: Reach out!!

Too often we think that person is too big, or unreachable. Or we hide behind a wall of something along the lines of fear, or confidence or limiting beliefs. The only thing that does is dim our own light.?

If you are looking to grow any area of your business this year and I mean any area at all (chances are very high you are, otherwise you wouldn’t be actively engaging on LinkedIn).

Get out there, shine your light, expand your comfort level and straight up. Meet more people!?
