Tips for attractive content ??
Actual footage of people having their life being sucked out during some boring slides.

Tips for attractive content ??

???Voice and Language

Don't talk too low or too fast. You are presenting something?new. Everybody wants to hear it and, mainly, to?understand?it. Talk slower that you usually do and exercise the periods on your sentences.??Yes. Very. Calm.

The same applies even more if you are not speaking on your mother tongue!??Keep it simple and let the "obdurate", "umbrage", "phlegmatic" and "forbearance" for some other time.

Try not to use language expressions translated (ouch!) or not. Not everybody is familiar with that. They will probably make no sense for all your listeners.?

So take your little horse out of the rain. ?? (PT-BR speakers will get it)

????One?idea per slide

I'm sorry to use such a vastly repeated sentence, but "less is more".?No cluttering. Don't overwhelm your viewers with 5 different tables, 2 pie charts and 3 paragraphs at the same time.

No one will listen?to you because they will try to understand all this data, before you move to the next slide.

Go visual and think that people need to grasp the idea in?3 seconds?when they see it. Be concise.

When you have something to show,?just do it. No telling.

???Presentation styles

We are all out of ideas, right? That's why we just use the?default of everything.

If possible,?don't use the company template. Isn't it always too obvious? No surprises. No fun.

There are two good presentation styles that you could try next time:?Pecha Kucha?and?Ignite.

Maybe they are not applicable at your work, but they can be a good exercise to do?if you want to train.

???Font and Contrast

Will it be online or using a projector? In both cases, use good contrast so people can actually?see what you made!

Pick fonts that do not confuse the reader and that can be read from close and from far.

Less is more. Did I already say that?

???People want to see your success!

They are at your presentation, why would they want you to fail??

Even with that in mind, I myself can't say that I'm comfortable during these events... I'm an introvert! My mind goes blank, my mouth dries, and I sweat. But I know I am prepared and if I take a good breath the words will come out.

It doesn't matter if you are an introvert or a showman,??we are both going to rock it. Relax.

Your?personality?is not an impediment.

Each of these topics is a constant?challenge?for me.

I wrote some tips, but it doesn't mean I master them all! Far from it...

So when you see me on my next presentation, be sure that I'm struggling in some points! (just like everybody else?ˉ\_(ツ)_/ˉ?)
