A Tipping Point
Tipping Points. I always assumed that everything would eventually have a tipping point. I figured it was part & parcel of that “too much of a good thing” file.?
The distance a golf ball can travel has found its tipping point. The governing bodies gathered, and bifurcation is now going to be a thing in our lives. The golf ball rollback is coming.?
Makes me think of another tipping point I watched happen back in the day. The simple act of a morning shave would find a tipping point. The manufacturers created it. When the Gillette Mach 3 came out - I loved it. ?It sure was smart of them to realize that the Dual Blade product I’d been using with only 2 blades just wasn’t good enough anymore. 2? Ha. 2 blades was immediately old news.
They added one more blade, and the Mach 3 came to market. And I really did love it - it was significantly better than the twin blade it replaced.
The Razor manufacturers kept adding blades though. What was next? Could it be? Yes, 4! Then 5! Nope. Too many. Too clunky & too tough to clean. Tipping Point. Another Tipping Point.?
I’m paying close attention to a lot of stuff in my new role here at CGT Events. Brand Presentation & Premium Signage Solutions is a fascinating space. Could the size of signage be approaching a Tipping Point? Well, with Sports Stadiums introducing 100’ screens, and Las Vegas unveiling a remarkable huge Sphere to the world – probably not just yet.?

If I’ve discovered a Tipping Point here – it’s the spot where all that corporate branding from all the powerhouse Companies realizes it must relocate temporarily. All those Head Office buildings and Websites and Social Pages and Advertisements and Company Tag Lines and Product Launches.?
So, when it comes time for packing up these sophisticated brands to take them off to a golf course for the day – A funny thing happens on the way to the Forum.?
That’s what we do. On those rare, but important, occasions when a Brand vacates the comfort of its Concrete & Glass home for the temporary reality of open spaces and 120 acres of green grass, they need our support.
We give them options and we give them some continuity to what they're doing the other 364 days a year. Presenting a Concrete & Glass story across a green grass backdrop has its challenges. We've faced them for more than 30 years.
