The Tipping Point - How Little Things Can Make A Big Difference

During my birthday last year, God spoke to me about a concept called "The Tipping Point." He used the story of Jesus and John as an illustration. In John chapter 1, we learn that John had been preaching in the wilderness, foretelling the coming of someone with a higher calling than himself. John humbly acknowledged that he was unworthy even to untie Jesus' shoelaces. I encourage you to study the chapter when you have some time.

The tipping point in this scenario occurred when Jesus willingly submitted to John's baptism. Initially, John was hesitant, but Jesus understood that this moment was crucial for His ministry. He recognized the significance of being baptized before launching into His mission. While baptism may seem like a small thing, it had a profound impact not only on Jesus' ministry but also on Christianity as a whole. This experience deepened our understanding of the significance of baptism for believers.

In the ministry of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, a significant tipping point occurred when Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan River (Matthew 3:13-17, Mark 1:9-11, Luke 3:21-22, John 1:32-34).

This event marked a turning point for several reasons:

1. Anointing by the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus in the form of a dove, signifying His divine approval and empowerment for ministry.

2. Public declaration: John the Baptist publicly declared Jesus as the Lamb of God, introducing Him to the people as the long-awaited Messiah.

3. Transition from John's ministry: This event marked the beginning of Jesus' public ministry, signaling a shift in focus from John's preparatory work to Jesus' Messianic mission.

4. Inauguration of Jesus' ministry: The baptism and anointing by the Holy Spirit inaugurated Jesus' ministry, which would change the course of human history.

This tipping point set in motion a chain of events that would lead to Jesus' teachings, miracles, death, resurrection, and the spread of Christianity. This tipping point is also relevant for believers in the marketplace. When a business suddenly experiences significant growth, with massive sales and recognition, it is not always the result of major changes. Sometimes, it is the seemingly insignificant things that make the biggest difference.

Consider a business owner who is struggling to attract customers to their store. Despite their best efforts, the business remains stagnant. Frustrated, the owner decides to implement a loyalty program, allowing customers to earn points for every purchase. They also incentivize existing customers to refer others by offering discounts or rewards.

At first, these changes may appear minor. However, as more customers participate in the loyalty program and referrals increase, a tipping point is reached. The business experiences exponential growth, witnessing a surge in sales and profitability. What initially seemed like small changes have transformed the business into a thriving enterprise.

It is not always the big things that create significant change. Sometimes, it is the small, seemingly insignificant instructions that God gives us. Perhaps God is leading you to create video content for your business, post at a specific time of day, or focus on a platform that receives less attention. What if that is the tipping point you need? Instead of solely focusing on major changes, consider the power of small actions.

I recall how God guided me into training people on LinkedIn optimization over three years ago. Initially, progress seemed slow, and it felt like nothing was happening. However, suddenly in 2022, my influence began to grow, and many people started reaching out for my services and corporate trainings. To this day, God continues to work wonders. It is often the silent and seemingly insignificant things that yield the most significant results.

I encourage you to reflect on any instructions or nudges that you may have received from God, even if they appear insignificant at first. Embrace them, act upon them, and trust that they could be the tipping points that propel you towards success and fulfillment.

Remember, it is often the small, seemingly insignificant actions that can lead to significant transformations.
