Tip of the Week #9
Have you ever showed up on a site that was acting wonky just to find out all the settings had been changed. There's a quick way to avoid this.
This week's tip is to expose points for balancing (and other critical setpoints) on your BAS but categorize them so they only show up to certain logins.
I've been on multiple service calls where the airflow or 'k' factor settings were exposed to everyone on the BAS. This is bad for many reasons, one of the biggest ones being that a lot of folks don't keep records of their balancing settings.
However, if you don't expose these points then it makes it much more difficult for the balancer to do their job. That is why this week's tip is to create balancing points but to put them in a category that is only exposed to a select set of user roles.
This gives you the best of both worlds.
To Your Success,
-Phil
