Tip & Tricks To Go Viral On Linkedin - Updated
After hours and hours of A/B testing and thanks to some insight from the engineers who designed the Linkedin Photon ML update. I have boiled down some tips that will help you in your quest to build fame and fortune on Linkedin.
I have learned an incredible amount of things in my short time here. I will break it down into some quick pointers, and examples of posts that did well.
1) People Like Stories That Give Back
2) Linkedin Users Like A Challenge
3) Attention Span Is Incredibly Short
(in the last decade the average attention span has dropped from 13 seconds to 8, less that that of a goldfish) You need to provide content that "Bangs"
4) Interaction, Interaction, Interaction!
Respect your connections and followers when they take the time to comment answer them and keep the conversation going.
5) Updates Are Always More Viral Than Articles
I have found that using updates it is much easier to go viral, many updates have climbed into the millions of views. Articles are a different story altogether unless you can get featured in Linkedin pulse the odds you can crack even a few thousand clicks are unlikely.
The goal should not only to make click bait type updates and articles but ones that stimulate conversation and give informational value to the reader at the same time.
