TIP Summit 19 announces TIP Marketplace

Some interesting news started off TIP Summit ‘19 this morning, where TIP’s Attilio Zani greeted us with a warm welcome and a strong message: We build together! To improve connectivity for dense urban areas as well as rural areas around the world, designing and building together with the help of all partners contributing to this goal is core!

So this event is, of course, all about bringing partners together. Axel Clauberg, Chairman of TIP and CTO T-Systems International, pointed out the importance of TIP Community Labs - which are open to all members and offering hands-on access to technology - for the fast development since 2016, giving a special shoutout to the Berlin Community Labs at Deutsche Telekom.

The road ahead is the focus on implementation, to go from field trial to implementation. Because of this, his annual hug this year goes to the vendors, and it is a special hug too.

Because Axel and Attilio got on stage to introduce TIP Exchange, a marketplace where the community find products and solutions validated by our TIP community. Products will be attested with a tier of TIP badges, showing on which level the products have been validated.

Also he announced, that PlugFests will become a regular thing. These are events where our community comes together to test and validate TIP technologies in an end-to-end environment informed by service provider requirements. Participating solutions that are successful in the validation efforts also qualify for listing on TIP Exchange.
