Smart Tips to Better Manage Your Schedule as a Remote Teacher
Teaching online can be really stressful sometimes, right? That’s why we need to invest time in organising our work. Why? To improve our life quality and the quality of our work as well ???
Here I’m sharing with you my personal motto: ????GET ????ORGANISED ????EARLY ??
?? USE CALENDARS
Put into a calendar all your tasks and then take some time to colour code them according to their level of priority. Which ones are urgent? Use a bright colour for those (I use red, for example). Which ones are important? Assign these a different colour. Do you have tasks that are not urgent or important? Get rid of those, if possible ??
?? START TASK BATCHING
Group together the tasks which are similar into a batch/shift. For instance, calls with parents, and virtual meetings with the head of teachers or colleagues within the same shift. ??Block this time on your calendar so you can focus on this one task. This will help you improve productivity and reduce stress ??
?? USE TRACKERS
Yes, track everything so you never miss a thing. Also, isn’t it satisfying to check off things on a list? ?? For better results, use apps like Notion or Monday or create a spreadsheet! In this way, you also have a report ready at hand in case you’re requested ?????????? always a step ahead! ????
?? KEEP YOUR COMPUTER FILES #ORGANISED?
?????Top tip: If you work with your personal computer, create a separate folder for teaching stuff only ??
Don’t be shy to name all your files and organise them into folders. Label everything. Assign colours to every level/ School, etc. ??Delete the unnecessary screenshots, pictures and files.
After all, you can always have google, can’t you?????
