Tip #5 Traveling as a Group

It's a Numbers Game
A group can consist of as few as eight friends and family members traveling together. Go on safari, sail on a ship, book a villa, resort rooms or tour New York City or Rome. The group is whatever you say it is. The travel industry doesn’t care. They just want you to come and play.
Rent a villa you pay by the villa; a hotel or ship is by the number of guests in a room or cabin; and a tour is per person. Usually!
If I'm leading a group, I take the free room so you don't have to pay for me. If I'm not going, I spin any free accommodation back to the group so your group leader can have it (for doing all the work) or you can share the cost of the free room among the participants. But minimum numbers must be met.
As I said, the travel industry loves groups. So we can often have ship and hotel credits thrown in, some meals, special tours, etc. It's all about an experienced travel consultant negotiating on your behalf.
Two more tips and were done. Stay tuned.
