Your long-term success is determined by the sum of all the tiny changes you make in whatever you do every day.
Why do tiny modifications add up to such amazing outcomes?
We frequently believe that a huge effort must be made to achieve great achievement. Some people even really feel that they need luck on their side to succeed. We experience extreme pressure to achieve those exceptional achievements or be a remarkable person, whether it be passing an exam, becoming wealthy, creating a great business empire, getting married to the person we love, or attaining whatever goal we have.

It's amazing how much of an impact even a small improvement can have over time. Even if every day small gains may not seem significant, they have a much greater long-term impact. Consider that you want to expand your vocabulary. You could have learnt 365 words in a year by learning one new word per day. Multiply it by five now. In five years, you would have learnt 1,825 words. That is a remarkable accomplishment. On the contrary, if you continue to deteriorate over the course of a year, you will eventually fail. The entire house can collapse from a single minor wall crack. What begins as a little victory, or a tiny setback, grows into something much bigger.
Habits work similarly to compound interest. The interest you earn on the fixed deposit rises yearly since you are paid interest on the money you earned the year before. Likewise, if you constantly concentrate on developing positive habits on a modest scale, the benefits of your habits will grow with time. The compounding effect of self-improvement is to get better every day. Even while small changes made every day might appear insignificant on any given day, the long-term effects they have might be substantial. Over time, it becomes glaringly obvious how much good behaviors are worth and how much bad one’s cost.
You land in an entirely distinct setting by making a little progress every day. Being a little bit better or worse every day may not seem like much, but over time, these decisions shape who you've become and what you could be. Success comes from regular routines, not once-in-a-lifetime changes. It doesn't matter if you're successful or unsuccessful right now. What counts is whether your habits are leading you in the direction of success. Your trajectory rather than your accomplishments right now should be much more important to you. If you inherit a profitable firm but don't pay much attention to the financial statements, you will soon discover that your management are becoming wealthy while your company's profits are falling, and you are getting into big trouble. On the other hand, even if you're moving a bit slower than you'd like, your cash flow will improve and you'll be able to expand if you manage your company's finances correctly and build reserves.
