Tiny Changes Create Big Results

I started playing pickleball.

The other week, two friends joined me in a lesson with a coach.

At our request, the coach started teaching us to serve. Several of my balls careened into nowhere. They may have landed in the next county.

The coach’s expert eye spotted my problem. He instructed me to adjust how I hold the paddle.

The next time I served? Bingo. The coach nodded his approval.

Due to that adjustment, my serves started landing correctly. I was just happy they weren't flying into other courts.

Small changes add up over time. The Japanese concept of “kaizen” is known as "continuous improvement" or "good change."

Kaizen is known in the business world as being used at Toyota, yet the concept of continuous improvement can apply to any aspect of our lives.

Continuous improvement is a necessary part of the writing process.

Writing involves ideating and re-visioning, and both benefit from continuous improvement. As I work with my clients, I give them tailored feedback that helps them improve their writing for the long haul–not for just one article or book.

These adjustments have long-lasting benefits–just like the coach's suggestions for how to hold my pickleball paddle.

And that’s why I offer the free book publishing class.

Book class gives you inspiring and enjoyable ways to start your book and create those good changes. You'll walk away with words written (if you want).

The book publishing class is designed to help you:

  1. clarify your book idea and message,
  2. uncover book topics that resonate with your reader,
  3. build and structure a book people love reading.

You don’t need to have anything written in advance, and there’s nothing you need to prepare beforehand.

You'll have time to ask questions because the group will be small.

The date is October 15, 2024 from 12 noon - 1 pm Eastern.

We have room for 7 more people.

Please go here for details and to enroll:

This is very thoughtful ???? Deborah Ager Continuous improvement isn't just a business principle, it's a mindset that fosters growth in every aspect of life. It’s the cumulative effect of these small adjustments that can transform a writer's voice and confidence.
