Tim's Top 5 Shares of the Week - Volume 19 | April 18, 2022
Hello friends and welcome to our newsletter. My name is Tim and my goal with publishing this is to highlight and "Share" the posts from the week that I've found most beneficial in building my experience in Multifamily (capital "M").
LinkedIn is vast in the amounts of business intelligence and insight shared every day. It is my goal to highlight the posts that I most resonate with and my thought process of how the strategy can quickly apply to the success of other Multifamily leaders and their properties.
I hope you enjoy!

Week - April 10-16
From LinkedIn: #1 - Gosia Holcomb
It's the start of a new week and a fresh new perspective.
That's exactly what last week's post from Gosia Holcomb was all about.
This "Share" was absolutely inspired.
As someone who oftentimes finds it hard to hide who I really am with past careers forcing me down into a timid shell, I really resonated with the sentiment in Gosia's words.
In starting my professional journey, one would suspect that tattoos, unique hairstyles, and hair colors (I'm sure Allie Carpenter has some stories for you), piercings, vocabularies, profile pictures, demeanors, etc. were to fit in a very specific and outdated mold.
And where I've never scheduled a photography session solely for the purpose of a professional headshot, I always resonated with those who chose to showcase a more real image of themselves and not one that was dolled up for the sake of a headshot.
To prove my words, I'll bet no one knew that my LinkedIn profile was a cropped photo taken from a fall photography session:
* Have fun trying to unsee that every time you see my profile picture! * ;)
I like the unique stories, I like the individuals that seek to break the norm and disrupt the old, stuffy business workspace and revitalize the human spirit!
That's exactly what I feel we got with Gosia and her words.
Great post!
From LinkedIn: #2 - American Landmark Apartments
The next "Share" from the week comes from our friends at American Landmark Apartments with their announcement of a new property.
Welcome to the AL family, Cavalli at Iron Horse Station Apartments in Fort Worth, Texas!
Cavalli at Iron Horse Station promises a brand-new (built in 2021), 328-unit apartment community located in the post-pandemic, growth-focused Fort Worth submarket of North Richland Hills, Texas.
It's so exciting to see American Landmark in the news highlighting another property acquisition as they gear closer to 100 properties under that AL umbrella.
Congratulations to all involved in this exciting and beautiful new acquisition!
From LinkedIn: #3 - Landmark Properties, Inc.
A trend we are seeing in multifamily and CRE is the abbreviation BFR.
With the pandemic creating that need for more housing options, more players in the CRE space are looking towards those built for rent options.
Really cool to see Landmark Properties, Inc. headed in that direction and bringing their expertise of successful student housing ventures to another real estate vertical.
领英推è
In "...a blockbuster deal..." with Harrison Street and Core Spaces, and investment of up to $1.5 billion in subdivisions will be made with hundreds of rental homes in markets such as Austin, Denver, Dallas, Orlando, and Nashville.?
"Like student cottage projects, build-to-rent (BTR) or build-for-rent (BFR) developments offer detached units, townhomes or flats with yards." the article states.
"As Harrison Street builds out its platform, it expects half of its BTR partners to be student housing developers; the other half single-family home developers."
Landmark Properties, Inc. has plans to start six to eight BTR projects in 2022 and 12 or more in 2023.
Now that the likes of big names like Landmark Properties, Inc., Walker & Dunlop, and PeakMade Real Estate on the BFR train, my predictions are that the demand of single-family houses in the rental market is here to stay.
From LinkedIn: #4 - John Foresi
The next "Share" for the week really touched my heart.
And before I go even further into it, I really would just like to say thank you to John Foresi and the leadership team at Venterra Realty and its employees for donating $75,000 to the global humanitarian organization Save the Children.
Surely the headlines and violence spread across the Ukraine has touched all of us in one way, shape, or form.
It's devastating, and quite frankly, eerie to me.
I'm not going to use this platform to spread a political agenda, but wrong is wrong.
Innocent lives of children and born citizens of the Ukraine are being lost to what seems like careless negligence.
Being a parent myself, it absolutely devastates me to watch families being ripped apart, some escaping to freedom and a (hopefully) better life, while others stay back to protect the land they love - even if by doing so means a loss of shelter, food, and resources to fight.
I am so grateful to see efforts of our brothers and sisters in Multifamily coming to the rescue with such a size-able donation - surely to encourage positive impact and support.
I can only hope to see more actions to support the end of yet another careless war.
From LinkedIn: #5 - ZRS Management
And our last "Share" of the week comes just as the NMHC announced their Top 50 for 2022.
And I post ZRS Management's recognition not only to highlight ZRS Management, but to also serve as a highlight to the number of other successful property management companies that earned their place in the Top 50.
Being as new as I am in Multifamily, I can clearly see how big a deal this list is.
Congratulations to everyone involved ?? (listed alphabetically):
