Timnath Town Police Station’s Groundbreaking Ceremony at Harmony Road
Timnath Mayor Mark Soukup and Timnath Police Chief Terry Jones hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new police station in Timnath. The new station will locate near Backyard Bird and Domino’s Pizza. This event will take place on Wednesday, December 8, from noon to 2 p.m.
According to a recent resident survey, public safety is the top priority for the Town’s residents. By building the new police station, the Town demonstrates its commitment to the police force and the community as a whole.
People who need a safe place to go when fleeing dangerous situations, such as victims of domestic violence, will find it at the facility. A community meeting room will also be available for people to meet for first dates or to buy or sell things.
The Town Council approved a budget of $13.4 million for the construction of a 22,000 square foot police station on an area of 3.2 acres. Frank Pittman will build it based on Alm2s’ design. It will schedule to complete in December 2022.
