In my last post I raised the issue pertaining to the changing face of the carrier markets - consolidations, merging and unfortunate demise of one of the largest ocean carriers. I raised the issues that these carriers will face as their market and client base continually shift. The demands from the Carriers Management to drive great efficiencies across all aspects of their business has become paramount, the drive for effective management reporting, greater control of their collective assets (Vessels and Container fleets), and the need for even greater financial returns from every piece of cargo handled.
