Timeless Storytelling for Robert Zemeckis' Here

Robert Zemeckis’ Here spans generations, with a fixed camera angle in a single room.?

To achieve the director’s vision, Dimension and DNEG 360 operated two 30-foot by 15-foot LED walls in adjacent studios and created 85 realtime environments to show eras passing by, all visible through a living room window.


The team ensured accurate alignment between the live-action camera, physical set, and virtual environments, creating a new tool for the VFX Supervisor – the ‘disco pass’ ??

Using Unreal Engine, the team built a significant asset library of foliage, a colonial house, classic cars and realtime weather system – all to enhance the realism of each time period.
