The Timeless Allure of Theatre: A Glimpse into Chakravyu and the Magic of Storytelling

Last weekend, I journeyed through time and witnessed the grandeur of the Mahabharata era, all from the comfort of my seat. The theatre play 'Chakravyu' wasn't just another performance; it was an experience. Making it even more special was the fact that I was attending its 100th show – a testimony to its magnificence and the hard work behind the curtains.

A big shout-out to my friend Neha Dhanuka, a Chartered Accountant who lived her passion and transformed herself into a theatre producer. Her company, Smitten Stories, is the powerhouse behind 'Chakravyu' and many other illustrious plays. It's her commitment and vision that has not only revived my love for theatre but has elevated it.

With the curtains drawn and the lights dimmed, the stage was set, and so began an immersive journey into the world of Abhimanyu and the fateful Chakravyu. As the curtains unfurled, the actors breathed life into the characters of Mahabharata, the complex emotions, the grandeur, and the tragedies. Every gesture, every dialogue delivery was so powerful that it felt as if the epic was unfolding right before my eyes. But it was the portrayal of Abhimanyu, the brave young warrior, that held me spellbound. Watching his journey – his courage, his dilemmas, and his inevitable entrapment in the Chakravyu – was an emotional rollercoaster.

Abhimanyu's tale is more than just an episode from an ancient epic. It's a testament to life's complexities, the challenges we face, and the determination with which we meet them. Despite knowing only part of the solution to escape the Chakravyu, Abhimanyu's courage to step into it resonates with life's quintessential lesson: sometimes, we may not have all the answers, but it's our valiant efforts and perseverance that count.

This beautiful portrayal in theatre, the amalgamation of art, emotion, and life's lessons, drew parallels in my mind with EleFant's mission. We, at EleFant, envision a world where children are equipped not just with toys but with tools that teach, inspire, and foster growth. Whether it's a puzzle that mirrors life's mazes akin to the Chakravyu or a STEM kit that propels critical thinking, we wish to imbue every child's journey with meaningful stories and experiences.

Walking out of the theatre, I was constantly thinking Just as the world of Mahabharata became alive on stage, I wish for every child's world to be filled with endless stories, adventures, and learning through EleFant and they all become part of grand tales, to dream big, and to find joy in discovery at every moment.

To all the parents reading this, I urge you to introduce your children to the beautiful world of storytelling, whether it's through a mesmerizing theatre play or through the myriad of toys and books EleFant offers. After all, stories shape us, and through them, we shape the future - and as my friend Neha Dhanuka says Theatre play, no cuts no retakes!
