Is it time to Work Remotely??

We are all living in a modern era with substantial advancement of technology and science. But are we taking care of human value and health factor when it comes to the workplace and personal life stress which many of us are undergoing in our day to day life.

Answer is ?"NO"? , our lives have become materialistic and we started functioning like machines .

2017 study even found that the average worker was willing to accept 8% less pay for the option to work from home. This indicates that workers assign monetary value to the flexibility provided by a WFH policy

Our daily life routine has now become just like a program routine written in doing the things repeatedly without much focus on human values and also forgetting to take quality time even to speak to our family and friends . Ultimate goal for most of us is to be successful in our career but did we ever shift our focus on personal life ? ?"NO"?

Now this is the time to change our lifestyle to become happier than successful in life. Success doesn't always correlate with your career or monitory status .

There are many benefits working remotely and top priority would be flexible schedule to balance work and life equally . We can spend quality time with our family and friends which keeps us stay stress free and happier always.

WFH also empowers individual to focus on learning new things due to quality time management and also improves productivity in the work . There is always a myth that those who are working in office for longer hours are effective and productive at their activities but reality is it is not true !! Long working time will never determine your productivity and efficiency. We all must come out of this boundary and take a shift towards effective time management with quality delivery of tasks .

Reduction of stress will create path for creativity and this will help us to focus more on innovating things to improve efficiency and effectiveness at all the things we handle.

Long commute is one of the factor which needs to be taken into consideration. This is major parameter that has huge hit back on our Mental and Physical health. Working remotely helps us to avoid this stress and divert towards healthy habits like regular exercise, proper diet plan etc.

?Now lets see some of the considerations to set WFH policies :

?Employers who allow employees to work remotely should grant these employees true autonomy and flexibility, rather than trying to micromanage their remote work. 

?Providing funding for periodic informal meet-ups is a small investment for a potentially significant amount of employee learning

?Consider the type of work itself. If a job is very independent – that is, the employee can carry out most job duties with little or no coordination with co-workers ( – the transition to WFH is more likely to result in productivity increases. 

?Managers of WFH employees should mandate use of a common set of technology tools. Early-career WFH examiners who needed more approvals from their supervisors realized an additional 3% increase in productivity

My wish is that more organizations realize that, to be successful in the future, they will lean into this shift in a way that benefits workers, companies, and the bottom line."

I really hope that the future of work culture embraces what is both best for the company and best for their workers—to look at longer-term, sustainable, healthy ways to support growth with good people. I strongly believe that flexible and remote work can, and should, play a significant part in this considering the technological platforms we have available nowadays.
