Time Well Spent
My young adult son and I spent the Summer Solstice picking black raspberries at my family farm. Who cares? Where is the hashtag?
The raspberries we picked were from the same plants I picked with my mother some 45 years ago. I could not find the white raspberry plants that are unique to Indiana...maybe they are gone. But the poison ivy, ticks, and scratched legs all happened. But so did the quiet hike and the being together.
I'm not sure what my next chapter brings, but I know I'll soon be serving those raspberries alongside some pound cake and ice cream. Maybe some will be in scones for Sunday morning. It's all good.

Kristi - We have 42 blueberry plants and five blackberry plants on Lark Farm. Suffice it to say that blue and black are our colors right now…. https://peterjohnson.artstorefronts.com/warehouse-open-edition-prints/art_print_products/blueberries-and-blackberries?product_gallery=193631&product_id=5046645
