Time Waits for No One! ??

Are you aware of signs or symbols that enter your life? I am learning to pay attention to animals, birds, phrases, people that come into my life, even if for a moment. ??
This past week, the phrase, “Time waits for no one,” has appeared in at least three different emails, books, and messages from different sources. So I'm paying attention! ??
I find time to be elusive. It’s hard to capture what exactly it does or means.
You might hear the expression, “Time is money.” But is it really? ????♀?
You can choose to use your time in a variety of pursuits to generate money whether it’s a paycheck, or a side hustle. And, you can use money to pay for things you’d rather not spend your time doing like cleaning house, or making meals.
We either have too much time “on our hands,” or not enough time.
Time goes soooo sloooow when we’re younger, and yet it “flies by” the older we get! ??
Time by definition is very simple - there’s 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day, or 86,400 seconds in a day.
Do we rush through the day, trying to get as much done as possible? Do we take our time and do exactly what we want with our time, enjoying the moment, the seconds as they tick by?
For me, it’s a combination of enjoyable moments ?? and tasks I feel I must do.
As I focus on coaching women who are transitioning into retirement, or taking the “glide path” to retirement, I’m more aware that we get to choose how to use the moments of each day.
Now is the time we get to dream about the life we want to live. What does that look like? Where do you want to spend it? With whom?
?? How much income do you need to support the lifestyle you choose?
When we’re working we spend so much time accumulating, whether it’s stuff or retirement accounts. With our retirement account, it’s all about letting it grow.
Now that we’re considering how we want to transition into retirement we get to change our focus from growing our retirement account to generating income. ?? However, making this transition isn’t talked about nearly enough.
What does it look like to reposition your savings from growth to income generating? How much income does it provide? How much do you need?
