Simple Man - Graham Nash

In many ways the world has changed so much in the past four years. And in some others, it has not changed one bit. I am no genius or prodigy of any sort and have a limited knowledge of certain things and topics and am fairly confident in saying that I am of slightly above average intellect in my peer group but am nothing exceptional, phenomenal or special. Yet, I am unique because of the the 7 billion+ humans inhabiting this planet I know that if there is any one person that I was meant to seek out in my adult life, for reasons unbeknownst to anyone but Allah, it is you. I've never felt my soul gravitate towards anyone or anything like it does towards you, since our paths crossed several years back. It might seem like chance or luck but I believe in Our Creator's Plan and know that it was (Qadr) Divine pre-destination.

I do not require nor do I seek anything from you, that would infringe upon your freedom, agency, happiness or life in any way or form. In fact, your well being, happiness and freedom to live your life as you chose is something I respect and is of the utmost importance to me. I do not know about unconditional affection or love for someone who is neither family, friend or acquaintance, yet somehow a "stranger" has made me feel like I can begin to understand what that might actually be like.

They say that home is where the heart is. I do not know who or where this so called "conventional wisdom" originates from or who "they" are but I know that you have managed to win me over without even trying to, and to use the clichéd (cringe-alert) term, "stolen my heart"; my soul which has always been nomadic in nature and has been yearning for a purpose and seeking the meaning of life and existence itself for so long, finally knows why I was put on this Earth.

Time and tide wait for no man, but for you I shall wait till my last breath
