Their expertise has been built on the back of successful strategy advisory and business transformation through process change and IT upgrades – any they have 10,000 successful deliveries to show for it (for arguments sake).??

Systems are changing – the proliferation of advanced technology, artificial intelligence and machine learning and connected internets of things has take the technological landscape beyond IT and into complex systems whilst the business and human sides of the problem have become more varied, more integrated and intricate and the very nature of user centred design fundamentally altered.??

The sheer complexity of the systems coming into being means that a traditional IT-centric approach is not sustainable. The most complex projects all have one thing in common – they are systems-centric.??

Systems Engineering is the process of modelling systems in various paradigms (such as physical, logical, functional, capability, requirements, data-centric or value stream and process modelling) to provide a rich and robustly delineated system definition which captures and articulates the interactions between people, processes and technologies. This is not an IT problem – it is a systems problem. And there are only a handful of companies with the experience and expertise to solve it, and they aren’t in the Big Names.??

What this problem needs is a dedicated Systems Integrator who understands all aspects of people/process/technology, the interaction between them and the emergent behaviours which result and the appropriate method of managing it.??
