A Time To Be Thankful

A Time To Be Thankful

This week and Thanksgiving have become my favorite time of the year.  There’s so much to be grateful for in life, and I’m going to share with you my story on why I’m thankful this year.

We went to market last September with our Care Management product in NYC area, and we had a great first 4 months. Coming into this year, my team had a lot of momentum, and planned to do big things in our business.  Then Q1 came, and went, and the unforeseen challenges and storms threw us pretty far off course. How many of you have had that happen?

Dylan, who’s been with me since Day 1, tore his hamstring in a softball game after work, the muscle tore from itself, and he was out and then on crutches for weeks. His former athletic days caught up with him and his body said no more.  He went through a ton of rehab. That, and the mental grind to get through that adversity, made it challenging to achieve the goals he wanted to. I fought this year, to be great, for him.

Then there is Zak. Zak, had just come off an incredible state flag football championship, just transferred onto the team a couple months in, and out of nowhere, loses his eyesight. Zak was diagnosed with Leber’s disease, which is a fast degeneration of the retinal that causes loss of central vision.  At 25, one of the most healthy and most in tuned with his core values people I know, with everything in front of him to do great things, he gets THIS into his life. His heart, and attitude, never ever changed.  ALWAYS positive. As scared at times as he was to experience this change in his life, he never complained once about his circumstances.  No one would know that he was dealing with this, and he serves his clients and talent every day over the phone with full gratitude and empathetic service to them. This fall, he happily proposed to his amazing future spouse Alison, and she said “yes!” I fought for this year, to be great, for him.

Then comes Danny, a new graduate who did an internship with us last summer and came onto my team in July.  Danny has the ideal traits in my mind of any hire you want on your team, he’s enthusiastic, will soak up anything you teach him like a sponge, always always always wants to learn more, do more, be more, win more, serve more. He does the right thing, all the time, with impressive integrity for his young age. He’s a future rockstar! I fought this year, to be great, for him too.

We had amazing support from management and other staff, shout outs to Grace, Andrew, Ken, Coltlee, Jen, Steve to help serve our clients and talent.  And amazing teammates to top it off, that helped Zak with such a challenging year, going to Florida with him on doctors trips, taking him to and from work, letting him crash at their apartments close to work, etc.  Luke, Dean, Kyle, Tom and others who always had his back. What a loyal and fierce set of teammates!

So what ended up happening? Well, the year isn’t over yet, and we would love to serve any of you that need help with nurse placements to help your business, or if you need a new job, we can help. Don’t wait until next year! Call our office at 973-490-2065. That said, we are already seeing record personal highs for everyone and we have projected numbers that will make us the most successful team for a field office in 15 year company history.  The HOW to that story, is for another time :)

I am deeply grateful and thankful, for my tribe (my teammates) and my family. I am thankful for the clients that allowed us to serve them this year, to advance their business and teams to impact their customers and patients.  I am thankful to be trusted for all the people who came to us and allowed us to help them find the job they’ve always been looking for, to impact their career and families.  I am thankful to my coaches, mentors, and relatives who have guided and supported me to become the person I needed to be, to move my family and team forward. I am thankful my dad’s health improving, and my mom being there for him. I am thankful to the best brother I could ever ask for. And most importantly, I’m thankful to my wife Lindsay, for supporting me and fighting life together through this year, to learn and grow our lives together, so we can positively impact our children Grant, Willa, and the one on the way, and for the many lives and families we hope to impact in our years to come.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Sounds like the same wise council our Apostle Paul gave to Timothy regarding Timothy's mother and grandmother...(please ask me for the Scriptural references). Dear Suzanne: You may not remember me...my name is Mark Diaz. You were my divorce attorney back n the summer of 2008. You are a HUGE part of my personal, Christian testimony!!! Please call me. I would like to catch up. My my phone number is in this message. I have come sooooooo far in my Christian walk!!! When you first met me I had most certainly come to the end of myself and eventually turned to our Creator (thanks to His use of you in my regard, the folks at West Ridge Church, and most importantly our Creator!) I now serve Him full time by serving others regarding the Great Commission. Please call me for clarification (406-298-0924). Your brother in Christ, Mark (406-298-0924)
