Time is precious, waste it wisely

Today I woke up with a great sense of gratitude.  Gratitude for the incredible family I have, two healthy little boys and a supportive husband.  A man who allows me to be the woman I want to be.  I thought about the wonderful friends that I have, the exciting career I have selected.  I took a moment to walk around my home, look out the window and study the forest in the back yard.  While barren and brown, it still looked beautiful.  We live a privileged life, not because of money or the assets we have, but because we are alive.  Because we have another day to experience life, to grow, to learn and to become a better person.

We can walk and talk freely, eat and drink daily, laugh and cry giving us empathy to those around us.  Every one of us has so much to be grateful for.  The smallest things that go unnoticed because we don’t stop to look at them.  The smile from your children as they wave good bye and head  to school, the demanding pet that see’s you as the most incredible loving and perfect person in the world.  Life is not supposed to be easy.  It is a road full of holes and hurdles, blockages and cross roads.  We are forced us to think, make decisions, and push forward, but ultimately life allows us the opportunity to appreciate the good times, enjoy the fun times and take advantage of precious moments.  Take time to enjoy every moment,  even the bad ones, for they are the moments that make the good times even better!
