A TIME TO PAUSE...ON PURPOSE

This is a chaotic and troubling time, however hopeful many will take advantage of the time to pause...and reflect on the many blessings in our lives. Perhaps even redefine your purpose in life.

Just a year ago, many of us were preparing to fill out our winning March Madness brackets. Now we find ourselves seeing all major global sports and entertainment properties doing the right thing to contain COVID-19 for the health and safety of players, fans, sponsors and other stakeholders -- postponing or even cancelling events. We initially blurt expletives at such actions, but quickly recognize there is no greater purpose than life itself.

If there a silver lining, one quickly recognizes the pure joy people have for sports of all sorts. When we have endless options of LIVE sports and entertainment programming to choose from we get spoiled rotten by the thrilling edge of your seat action. They become our sweet escape of all the stresses in life.

While challenging, make the time to escape the panic and chaos of our daily headlines. Remind yourself that one's purpose in life boils down to those one or two things that are bigger than yourself and bigger than those around you. It's not about some great personal achievement, rather spending your limited time well. After all there is no greater paycheck than being healthy and happy with those that matter most in our lives.

In developing partnerships for some of the biggest and best properties (leagues, teams, events, venues, etc.) in the world, we often say that we are all only as good as our last or next deal. These recent developments have made me pause and reflect upon the countless relationships cultivated across a tight nit sports & entertainment industry. Deal or no deal we all leave better people and often form lifelong friendships.

I will leave you with my redefined purpose...
