Time Out for Georgia
I just wrote this in Georgian. This is the translation to English mistakes and all. I l do this because it allows me to express myself without thinking of tone or rhythm, it is my unredacted, non-sanitized thoughts.
I do not mean to be rude or aggressive. If you wish you may treat it as English humour, particularly the illustration. But it has a serious side. The EU and German Ambassadors long ago stepped over a line. The EU should not act like the Soviet Union. We are not and never will be a colony. Like the British the Georgians are an island in a hostile environment. We are on the edge not the centre of Europe like Germany and Poland. Please consider this geography and have some manners.
So here it is, feel free to laugh or criticise or ignore completely. I know my place, I am a mere investor in Georgia and I would not swap that for all the tea in China:
"In these difficult times, Georgia needs time when people can talk together without foreign agents, diplomats and MEPs. I am from Tbilisi, and there is peace everywhere, in cafes, shops, and on the street. This is a surprise for me, because Georgians love to criticize the government. Criticism is a major hobby in this small country.
There were elections last Saturday, and the result is clear, the government had 54%, the other party 20% less. In my opinion, there is no serious argument that this result is not true. But, the European Union does not want this result to be true, because the situation in the Eastern Partnership of the European Union is worse than the German economy, France's relationship with immigrants, or the situation of war in Ukraine.

EU Eastern Partnership has 6 members: Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus. Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. Today, only Belarus, Georgia and Moldova have not had a war or revolution since 2014. The war with Russia continues in Ukraine. Belarus and Azerbaijan no longer want EU membership, and only Georgia and Moldova have a real, existing, transparent democracy. Because of this, the decision of Georgia's Khakhali on Saturday is a big problem for the European Union, because it does not like the government, the Georgian dream.
I can tell you that I know why the European Union does not like the Georgian dream. The problem is that the leaders of the Georgian Dream are not students of non-governmental organizations these directors, they are independent businessmen, academics, lawyers, and ordinary Georgian citizens. This seems to be a big problem with the current EU leaders. Their model depends on intellectual colonialism. In Georgia, the Georgian Dream told von der Leyen, "No, we don't listen to your radical demands or criticism, this is our country. We can work together, but we won't be your buffer zone against Russia. Our priority is Georgia's peace and economic development, we We work for the Georgian people."
Today, the biggest source of public conflict in Georgia is the current criticism and threats of the EU ambassador. But the effect is the opposite. Georgians know very well that he has completely different interests. People already know very well that the statements of corrupt non-governmental organizations are not transparent, honest or independent. People know very well that a director of a non-governmental organization with a salary of 100,000 euros from EU donors is not and will not be independent. He is a puppet of the EU ambassador.
Because of this, I have a request for the EU and German ambassadors. Don't talk about bad things on weekends. We need a "time-out". The weather is nice, the capital is beautiful and here in Georgia we have peace. Peace is great for everyone. But peace, like democracy, is not easy. I think that the heroes of democracy and peace today depend on the citizens of Georgia. I believe in the Georgian people".
