There are two kinds of people from a psychological point of view. One group is the ones that make things happen and are in control of situations around them. The second group is the ones that think that they are victims of something.
As I look around the world to see what is happening, some of us are setting somewhere in our homes or wherever with our fingers crossed as we're not really sure about what we want to apart of or what we want to do, and the situation we found ourselves we really don't know how we got here.
The problem that I've noticed is that most people don't know how to make decisions. The reason I emphasized this point is that too many folks are simply waiting for the right time.
They're two concepts in life that we all deal with, and the more I operate I find people that think that they're a victim of circumstances, but the point I want to get across that you most make a decision to do something today.
The atmosphere that we are brought up in has a way of influencing our decision making, some people wants the time to be perfect, but we have been given the power to control every circumstance, rather than waiting for something to happen.
We are not created to wait for change, we make change happen and we change the condition.
I had partners before, and relationships that when are agree to do something one person will always come up with the timing isn't right or some excuses to give me some time to be ready or some emotional involvement. I don't care about how you feel, you did agree to do then do it.
if we decide on what we are going to do it will change everything. They are another kind of people that always wait for everything to be in place, with these kinds of people things are never all in place, and the conditions are never right.
Some people I have talked with will say I am too young and inexperienced. And if I'm a little older with an experience I can do it. Well! you will never be any younger, and when they are a little older with experience, then they will say well I'm too old.
I've had a couple of experience trying to bring in new partners into my business, some of the guys I talked with said, sorry I'm too old and the timing isn't good for them. Some who were 60+ didn't say they were too old and that the conditions needed to be right because they understand that they don't have time to play with.
The trust is some of us don't have time to play with either. I don't care if you're young. I was told I was too young to start a company or own a business. When I get on minding my business and finally did, I was told I was too young to chair the board.
Leadership or decision making don't have any age limit, destiny can hand you a responsibility anytime it is your duty to respond to it.
When I graduated from nursing school and went to India from a brief stein. I was part of a team of nurses assigned to managing a case. I wasn't the head nurse whatsoever. But a day came that my name came up that I have to lead the management. I wasn't experienced like the others, but I knew I have to raise to the occasion immediately.
How did we get to a point of constantly postponing the action point? I said to one of my staff who constantly want to be treated special than the others. I called her one day and said you have to make a decision either to stay in the company or stay home and care for your family.
A decision making isn't a major thing, but rather a series of doing positive things everyday moving towards your goal.
That doesn't mean anchoring an ambition to be a millionaire tomorrow. No! No! that's not what I am referring to. What I'm saying is just decide that you will do just a little every day to drive you towards goals because the time is now.
