Time for new computers at the office?

We all get to the point in which we realize our PC`s are just not what they were when you bought them. I personally consider that at 4 years I'm due for a new PC. Mainly because of it`s obsolescence and performance.
"But it was fast, maybe I can just get it tweaked or upgraded?"
Yes, you could, but is it worth it? If your PC`s is less than 1 year old, okay, maybe adding some memory and a solid state drive may resolve it. But, it could run you nearly half the cost of a new machine. (Add labor costs if you don`t do it yourself). If your PC is 3+ years old , the processor / CPU at this point could be why things are running slow.
Keep in mind that newer software most often requires more resources from your PC to run smoothly. It`s only a matter of time before your PC no longer meets the requirements for the latest release of your main business software.
From a business standpoint, the slower tasks take to complete the less productive your business will be. That being said, your technology can have a huge impact on the turn around time for your products or services to be delivered.
"How can I stay up to date and stay within my technology budget?"
Keeping your technology running quickly and reliably takes proper budgeting and monitoring. Put upgrades on cruise control and have the systems managed effectively to keep things stable.
This can be done by essentially leasing the hardware so that once the lease period is up you get new systems and keep moving forward. The budget relatively stays the same and so does the management. Some things are worth growing attached to, not old computers.
