time to move on... to something bigger

Jan 6, 2011... I still remember the day so well, as I walked on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, WA, USA for the first time - invited to participate in a Microsoft Certified Trainer Architect Council, a selective group of worldwide MCTs, coming together to brainstorm about tuning, tweaking and optimizing the MCT Program.

Needless to say visiting the Microsoft Headquarters itself was even more impressive, apart from the exclusive gathering I was participating in, as there were only 11 of us global MCTs.

Over the years, I had the joy and pleasure to visit the campus multiple times for Microsoft MVP Summit, MCT Summits, TechMentor conference speaking or for more business-specific meetings as a Microsoft Partner out of my own business. Besides the great atmosphere of the campus itself, it is surrounded by stunning natural elements... pine forests, lakes, mountain views,... In the back of my mind, I could see myself living here at some point in my life.

Thanks to the outstanding and amazing support of both my current EMEA manager as well as my future USA West Team Manager, I am honored to share I will be relocating to Redmond on Jan 5th, 2022, officially starting as a Microsoft Technical Trainer in the US West team as of Jan 10th. It's definitely a long-standing dream coming true. While not all has been going as smooth as one could imagine so far, I'm thrilled to start "Peter's life 2.0" in a place where I love being, close to Microsoft Headquarters and building out the 2nd half of my career from here on.

I'm in the midst of arranging the move from Belgium, trying to get things ready for the new address at the same time, working out some other challenges in between, but surely building up a series of posts about my adventure that will get published over the next few weeks at htpps://www.007FFFLearning.com for the ones who are interested.
