Is it Time to Mix Things Up?
IS IT TIME TO “MIX IT UP”?
I’ve clocked in over 130 podcast guest slots to date and decided to mix things up on my last invitation.? Pegi Robinson, host of “NDE TV”, recently asked me to return to her program. Our last meeting was my 45th guest spot back in 2021.
At the preview meeting before taping, Pegi suggested I “tell my story”, the usual recitation of my Distressing NDE. I reminded her that I had done that on the previous program and asked if we could do something different. She was taken aback and asked, quite logically, “Like what?”
“How about just chatting?” I retorted. “It’s been a few years since we’ve talked. What’s new? How’s your podcast going?”
She was quick to pick up the train of thought and asked, “How has your life changed after all these podcast appearances?”
With that settled, she said, “Let’s do it! I’m turning on the recorder.”? Off we went.

After a full hour, we ran out of steam and laughed at how fast the program flew by. She was happy with the results, and I had a really good time learning more about her life and challenges.
It was a “win-win”. Here’s the link if you want an idea of how to mix things up on a repeat appearance with a host you feel compatible with:
This is just one way to keep your topic fresh and fun. I’m sure you can come up with others and if you do, drop me a line at: www.heavenexpat.com .
Being a podcast guest is in fact “a job”, a way to increase sales and get your name out there. But when it stops being fun, it’s time to regroup and keep it fresh. It’s like any good relationship, a rut is not a good place to be for any of the parties.
This is your life, your love, and your chance to shine. Please, don’t waste the opportunities given by the podcast hosts who offer free advertisement, the joy of being “seen” and their friendship.
