Time to Migrate: Free Support for SFTP Gateway Version 2 Ends December 31, 2024

As we continue to evolve and enhance the performance of SFTP Gateway, we will gradually phase out support for older versions of our products. This allows our development team to focus on continuously improving our products and our support team to provide the best possible experience for our customers.?

Most importantly, supporting the newest versions of our products helps ensure that you, our customers, benefit from the updates incorporated into them. You get better performance, security, and features when you use newer versions of our products.

With this in mind, support for SFTP Gateway Version 2 will end on December 31, 2024. If you’re currently using SFTP Gateway Version 2, it’s time to start planning your upgrade to Version 3.?

Read on to find out what you need to know and why you should take action soon if you’re currently running SFTP Gateway Version 2.

Why is Support Ending for Version 2?

Version 2.0 has served our customers well for several years, but with the release of Version 3 in 2021, we made significant advancements in security, scalability, and performance.?

We will now focus on supporting and enhancing Version 3 to provide the most robust and reliable user experience possible.

After December 31, 2024, Version 2 will reach End of Life (EOL), which means:

• You’ll no longer have access to free email support.
• Bug fixes and security patches will no longer be issued.
• New features will no longer be released for Version 2.

If you’re still running SFTP Gateway Version 2, this is the ideal time to migrate to Version 3.?

1. Reach out now for a custom migration proposal with a discount: Contact us at [email protected] for a custom proposal for migrating your SFTP Gateway Version 2 to SFTP Gateway Professional Version 3.6. We’ll provide a tailored plan to help you migrate, including a discount for all of 2025 on SFTP Gateway Professional v3 if you accept a proposal agreement by December 31, 2024. This option includes ongoing support for Version 2.0 until your migration is fully completed.
2. Purchase Extended Support for Version 2 to get more time: This option ensures you receive continued support for Version 2.0 through June 30, 2025, giving you more time to plan your migration. For more details, contact our support team at [email protected].?
3. Take no action and manage Version 2 yourself: You can continue to rely on free support for Version 2 until December 31, 2024. After this date, SFTP Gateway Version 2 will still function, but Thorn Technologies will no longer provide support.
