Common Statement pertaining to Time:

I do not have time to complete the lesson and master it.

We don’t have sufficient time to finish  the prescribed syllabus.

Time is too short for this chapter.

I often spend too much of time than what is necessary.

I feel I have so much spare time, I don’t know what to do.

The day runs out very fast for me.

Time is what????

An important and valuable resource.

Cannot be saved – or – stored like money (Perishable)

Does not make distinction – between people- on any criteria whatsoever.

Non-renewable

Once wasted cannot be recovered (recouped).

Manageable.

Precious

     Time Management gives you a chance to spend your time, the most valuable resource in the way you choose.

Time Management is –

Balancing all the things you do – in such a way – that you get important things :: done – and meet with the targets.

Making the best – and effective utilization of a limited resource.

How to balance – what is the work to be done- how much time we have.

Planning the Time:

Important Skill.

 You will have to plan – time in your work place – and while studying.

Tips for Effective Time Planning:

You must Plan for time taking into consideration for the following:

You always know – how much time you spend in the college or workplace.

Your attendance at the class work – must be compulsory.You also require - time for mundane activities such as sleep, eating, recreation, etc.

Recreation is extremely important even for studies.

You must intelligently allocate time for recreation.

Three spells of study, of 30 minute s of each – with some breaks in between is much better than one stretch of 90 minutes.

Be realistic in decision making.

Four Basic Tips in Time Management:

Acceptance of what you can do – and achieve – in the time you have.

Awareness of where and how you are spending your time, the reality of – what you want to do – what are your priorities.

Analysis of Gap between – what you wanted to do and what you are doing ( Gap Analysis { Expectations v/s Reality } ).

Action – deciding if you want to respond to the Gap and how – working through small changes.

How to Plan Your Study….

Schedule fixed block of time first.

Include Time for House related Work.

Set apart Time for entertainment.

Set realistic goals.

Provide for flexibility in scheduling.

Plan for the unplanned – there may be certain times – when you have to do certain unplanned works.
