Is it time to lookout for a change?
You know what …….
- We had no hikes for the last two years and we may not have a hike this year too
- New comers are being hired at a much higher compensation and people like us who have been loyal to the organization and slogging all the while are given a pittance as a raise
- My role has been relegated
- I haven’t been promoted despite being rated very high for the last two years
- I have been waiting for this long- term onsite opportunity for years but they have sent somebody else on this project, somebody, who joined us few months back
- I have been promised many things by my Boss while retaining me but now he seems to have developed selective amnesia
- I haven’t been rated high despite solving many critical issues and receiving many client appreciations
- They told me I am being hired for a cutting-edge technology project but now they are forcing me to work on some antiquated technology
- I have been on bench for over 4 months. I haven’t been on any billable project this year
- My Boss is making things very difficult for me and has set some very unrealistic goals
- I am doing the same things day after day, months after months, there is no new learning
- We are going through a bad phase, no growth for years, heard that they will let go many
- I was put in a PIP for no reason
- We got acquired, our roles could become redundant
- My reporting has been changed to somebody who is very junior to me
- If I have to continue with my organization, I have to relocate to another city. They tell me there are no suitable positions for more at this location but are hiring dozens with similar skills
- We have a new department head and he doesn’t seem to like me as I was pretty close to the previous head. Looks like they are going behind all those who have been close to him
- I was asked to move into a new role and they painted a rosy picture, later I realized they wanted to move their person into my role. I am now stuck in an insignificant role
Do you think it is time for me to lookout for a change?
asked many aggrieved young employees to the Senior leader over the years ,citing one or the other reason as mentioned above. He always responded with the same answer“ well my advise may work for some and may not work for some but it did work for quite a few . I advise people not to make decisions on the spur of the moment.. they should take time , think over and
If you wake up in the morning and dislike going to work and the same feeling continues day after day and weeks after weeks, for at least three consecutive months; then it is time to look for a change”

5 年Absolutely , as long as you have great leaders who trust you more than you trust yourself and passionate teams who work endlessly and selflessly , there could be 100 reasons to leave a job , but that one reason overweighs them all to hang on and fight it out and believe that apna Time Ayega .
