TIME IS LIFE

The number one question on your mind at all times should be what governs your time?

Practice this a few times a day and you will see the unnecessary baggage of your life falling behind you. As long as the utilization of your time is improving with each decision, the value of your time is surely increasing too.

Time is like a cricket ground; it has its boundaries but the freedom to perform inside is infinite. You will win some matches and lose some as well. This is a ground that will see your first match and your last. It will see all your high scores and run-outs. All that you will do in that ground will be a by-product of the focus with which you practised for the match.

This ground of life will bear witness to any and every choice possible, and it will leave you with an altered approach each time. Whether or not you choose to acquire that approach is your call. It is possible to lose a match even if you played till the end. Like life, cricket is not a solo sport. But unlike cricket, only you are answerable for your life.

TIME IS AN INDICATION OF GOD

When you start reflecting on the optimal use of your time, you will recall all the incidents where you could've utilized it better.

One of the techniques in the second step of reflection i.e. recall, Is to layout your life in chronological order. When you do it a few times, you start noticing a pattern. That pattern is a clear reflection of how you valued your time over the years. Every lost opportunity is a miscalculation of time or effort, and sometimes both.

When we are not able to negotiate with the balance of time, we start feeling like we are slowing down. The return on investment keeps getting low and the focus keeps getting weak. This is where doubt creeps in and shortcuts start looking appealing. If you don't stop and reflect at this very point, you are about to lose balance on a very slippery slope.

Time is one of those things that need to be valued from the deepest core of your heart and mind. It is a depleting piece of treasure. Time is a fair teacher. It spares no one.
