No time to "Level Up"??: Become a schedule-ninja!

No time to "Level Up"?: Become a schedule-ninja!

Listen, we get it.

Life is just in the way and sometimes we feel we don't have the time to reach our goals.

But, we have a trick that can help you not only stay on task but get this done when you need to.

Are you ready to talk about it?

AMBITION

We all have dreams and ambitions of pulling ourselves up from our current situations into a much better career.

This does not come easy. Many high-paying jobs require learning an entirely different skill-set.

This usually requires a huge commitment of time and effort to learn skills, do projects, and undergo training.

Like with any goal that's truly worth it, it will require some blood, sweat, and tears.

But what if your current situation isn't exactly friendly to new commitments?

Almost no one has unlimited time to throw at learning. It may be intimidating to try to aim for a transition to a higher-paying industry.

TIME COMMITMENT

We all have "time commitment" issues; A current full-time job, raising a family and kids, stuck commuting, etc. Like with any goal that's truly worth it, it will require some blood, sweat, and tears.

It?is?humanly possible to have a life filled with responsibilities and still "Level Up" your skill-set!

This will require you to acknowledge a couple of realities:

  • Lean in completely?- Up-skilling requires "full-time" commitment even though the hours spent studying are "part-time"
  • Time is money?- There are only 24 hours in one day, time is a resource and should be budgeted as such. Manage wisely.
  • Sacrifice?- A busy life will require sacrifices that need to be made; We all know what this means... Netflix will always be there when you're finished Leveling Up.
  • Reclaim your time?- Hidden pockets of idle time, such as during a commute or waiting in line can be used to look over notes, listen to training videos, etc. and small changes compound over time.

How can this be done? Try being a "schedule-ninja"!

Time management is key, so make the most of whatever time is available to be allotted.

Some tips to ninja your way around your daily routine:

  • Wake up early?- an hour early start to the day; just one additional hour compounds quickly, and assuming that at least half of that is productive time, an entire 15 hours is reclaimed per month!
  • Batch tasks together?- if possible, consolidate similar tasks on your daily schedule to free up additional time. An extra 15 minutes every day freed up over 2 weeks amounts to 3.5 hours reclaimed!
  • Plan ahead?- if difficult milestones, such as a certification test, are approaching, calculate the time that needs to be budgeted.
  • Time yourself?- sometimes we get lost in the flow of working, running over-schedule and reducing time for other tasks; blocking off parts of your schedule and adhering to it as best you can allow for your time to be divided efficiently how can this be done? Try being a "schedule-ninja"!

ULTRADIAN RHYTHM

Lastly, to take full advantage of your schedule, try to understand your "Ultradian Rhythm"!

Human beings tend to operate in cycles; cycles for sleep, breathing, circulation, etc. which is referred to as an Ultradian rhythm.

Did you know that our mental energy also follows these cycles?

When we are feeling low energy, we usually drown ourselves in stimulants like coffee to maintain productivity; what is actually happening is that we are fighting our body's natural energy cycle.

Our bodies work through a mental Ultradian cycle; this is why we tend to have crashes mid-day or why we cannot be productive immediately after waking.

There are parts of the cycle having high peaks, where we have the most energy; the low troughs are when we feel tired and lethargic.

To hack this rhythm and take advantage, try to have 90-minute bursts of intense productivity, and take a 20-minute break when the peak starts to fall.

That way, mid-day crashes can be fought and productivity flow can be achieved, to become a schedule-ninja!

While it is important to implement this into your life. It is also important to figure out whom you need to be and whom you need in order to become successful with your career goals.

This is where you can find community and accountability in our program!
